Why Are These Paranthas Unique?

The paranthas sold in these establishments are distinct and distinct from traditional Punjabi paranthas, typically packed with food and then cooked on the flat Tawa (a flat pan that drips) in part with oil before finishing the crispy parantha by spreading it with desi ghee. The paranthas sold are sold at Gali Paranthe Wali mix traditional Punjabi parantha and Bedmi poori (deep-fried filled Indian bread) and are prepared not on the Tawa instead-but deep-fried in the “kadhai” (wok-like vessel). This dish comes with spicy potato sabzi, or curry and tamarind banana Chutney.
